The capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia is Halifax. The large city has a great deal of history that dates back several hundred years and is one of the most populous areas in the nation. The estimated population of the area is around 372,679, the greater metropolitan area is quite large as well with around 412,273 residents. The population is currently ranked 13th in the nation of Canada. The area was settled by the Mi'kmaq tribe and was inhabited for thousands of years before it became a European establishment in 1749. Since its founding, the area has seen a significant amount of growth in economics, agriculture, and education.
The economy of Halifax hinges on a lot of different industries. The area is home to many major companies, as well as small business. Small office and executive office suites options started at around $400 - $500 a month, while larger options are at around $1 - $3 a square foot for 1,000 square foot. The climate of Halifax is influenced largely by its proximity to the Atlantic ocean. The weather is relatively mild with temperatures never reaching extremes like other regions. While there is a fair amount of cold weather in the winter, and warmer weather in the summer, it is relatively moderate throughout all four seasons. The area doesn't receive a lot of extreme weather, but in recent years there has been some moments of wild weather. The airport has been ranked as the 7th busiest airport in the nation of Canada, handling roughly 3.4 million travelers annually. The airport has received a large amount of improvements and upgrades to make the airport more modern, and has continued to impress travelers to the region for quite some time.
